Healing Services for Iraqi Refugees

CVT’s International Services will soon expand to provide healing services to Iraqi refugees in Jordan. The project will also build the capacity of Jordanian mental health and social service providers to care for torture and war trauma survivors over the long term. One survey found that 21 percent of Iraqi refugees in Jordan experienced highly traumatic events, including torture, rape, kidnapping and witnessing the assassination of relatives and friends.
